I just saw the most recent update to a popular video many of you may have already seen. It presents great facts that chronicle these times of exponential, paradigm shifting change. Video after the break.

Facts like these:

  • Today’s learner will have 10-14 jobs by the time they’re 38.
  • The 25% of India’s population with the highest IQ’s is greater that the total US population.
  • The amount of new technical information is doubling every 2 years.
  • It took radio 38 years to reach a market audience of 50m — it took TV 13, the internet 4, and the iPod 3 years.
  • There are 31b searches on Google every month, in 2006 that number was 2.7b.

I think this video is very relevant to the discussion I’d like to foster here. It speaks to the intersections between technology, education, the competitive global economy and society at large. It demonstrates how rapidly our world is changing and why a new, increasingly interconnected world demands new answers.

What does this all mean to you?
